“Pollution Detector” by Urban Solid in Florence, Italy

Urban Solid is a duo street artist from Italy who works with the sculpture reproducing objects, anatomic parts, animal skeletons and attached to the walls with a special preference for decay contexts. Taking inspiration from the contradictions of our current society, Urban Solid creates a visible trace of the human condition’s frustration. Their creations look as they are monitored, observed, controlled as the result of the Big Brother Era in which we live. The originality in their work is the introduction of the third dimension in the street art. The installation comes out from the wall as it’s real, giving to the pedestrians the chance to physically touch the artwork. Urban Solid realises “Pollution Detector” a big red nose coming out from an architectonical frame in a small street of Florence. It’s an irreverent and ironic example of their provocative work.
